What We Offer
Therapy Services
Live Out Loud Purposely is a private-pay practice serving clients throughout Indiana. Sessions are offered in person or via secure telehealth.
Fees are listed with each service, so you know what to expect before you book.
Starting Out
Every new client begins with a 75-minute initial assessment ($175) — a comprehensive clinical assessment and collaborative goal-setting session where we build a clear picture of what brings you here and map out where we’re headed together.
Assessments are scheduled together during your free 15-minute consultation, so you can ask questions and make sure this feels like the right fit before committing to anything.

Sliding Scale
A four-tier sliding scale is available, based on Federal Poverty Level guidelines and household income. No one is turned away for inability to pay.
If cost is a barrier, say so during your free consultation or send a message through the contact page. It is a straightforward conversation, and asking about it will never affect the care you receive.
Payment
Payment is due at the time of service. We accept:
- Zelle
- PayPal
- Venmo
Good Faith Estimate
Under the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a written estimate of expected charges before beginning services. A Good Faith Estimate is provided to every client and is available on request at any time.
Because fees are flat and listed above, there are no hidden costs and no surprise billing.
Questions People Usually Have
What will the first session be like?
Before anything else, we’ll have a free 15-minute consultation — a short conversation where you can ask questions and get a feel for whether this seems like the right fit. Nothing is committed to at that point.
If you decide to move forward, your first real session is a 75-minute initial assessment. I’ll ask what brings you here, what you’ve tried before, and what you want to be different. We’ll go over the practical things — confidentiality, fees, how we’ll work — and by the end we’ll have a shared sense of where we’re headed. You do not need to arrive with your story organized. That’s part of the work, not a prerequisite for it.
Do you take insurance?
I am not contracted with any insurance companies. Live Out Loud Purposely is a private-pay practice, which means you pay directly and we aren’t limited by what an insurer will authorize — no diagnosis required for billing purposes, no session limits set by a third party, and no insurance company holding a record of your care.
If your plan has out-of-network benefits, I can provide a monthly superbill — an itemized statement you submit to your insurer yourself for possible partial reimbursement. Coverage varies, so it’s worth calling the number on your card and asking what your out-of-network mental health benefit is before you start.
A four-tier sliding scale is also available based on household income, and cost is always a fair thing to raise.
How long will I be in therapy?
It depends on what you’re working on, and I’d be suspicious of anyone who gave you a number before knowing you. Some people come for a specific transition and are done in a few months. Others are untangling patterns built over years, and that takes longer.
What I can tell you is that we’ll talk about it directly rather than letting it drift. Weekly or every-other-week sessions tend to work best early on, and we’ll revisit the pace together as things change.
Is what I share confidential?
Yes. What you say in session stays between us, and that protection is both ethical and legal.
There are a small number of legal exceptions — situations involving serious risk of harm to you or someone else, suspected abuse or neglect of a child or vulnerable adult, or a court order. I’ll walk you through these fully at your first session, before you share anything, so you always know where the edges are.
What if we’re not the right fit?
Then we say so, and I’ll help you find someone who is. Fit matters more in therapy than almost any other factor, and it isn’t a judgment on either of us when it isn’t there.
The free consultation exists partly for this reason — to sort out fit before you’ve invested money or built up hope. And if it becomes clear later on, that’s a conversation we can have without awkwardness.
What happens if I need to cancel?
Please give at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before a session are charged the full session fee, as is a missed appointment.
This isn’t about penalizing you — that time is reserved for you specifically, and it can’t be offered to anyone else on short notice. If something genuinely unavoidable comes up, tell me and we’ll talk about it.
Not Sure Which Is Right for You?
Start with a free 15-minute consultation. We’ll talk through what you’re looking for and figure out together what fits — no cost, no pressure, no commitment.
