Live Out Loud Purposely, LLC (“we,” “our,” or “the practice”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through our website at liveoutloudpurposely.org, how we use it, and the choices you have.

This policy covers our website only. If you become a client, the privacy of your health information is governed by a separate document — our Notice of Privacy Practices — which you will receive and acknowledge before services begin. That notice, not this page, describes your rights under HIPAA and how your clinical records are protected.

1. Who We Are

Live Out Loud Purposely, LLC is a behavioral health practice offering therapy services to clients located in Indiana. Services are provided both in person and via secure telehealth. Clinical services are provided by Sherria Dickerson, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (Indiana License #35002391A).

2. Information We Collect

Information you give us

When you complete our contact form, request a consultation, join an interest list, or email or call the practice, you may provide:

  • Your name, email address, and phone number
  • The type of service you are interested in
  • Any information you choose to include in a message to us

You decide how much to share. Only your name and a way to reach you are needed for us to respond.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, ours collects limited technical information when you visit, which may include your IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, and the site you arrived from. This is used to keep the site working and secure, and to understand general traffic patterns. It is not used to identify you personally.

Cookies

Our website uses cookies — small files stored by your browser — to keep the site functioning properly. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work as expected.

We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies, and we do not track your activity across other websites.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information described above only to:

  • Respond to your inquiry and schedule consultations or appointments
  • Provide the services you request
  • Send information you have specifically asked to receive, such as interest list updates
  • Maintain the security and functionality of our website

4. Contact Form and Email Are Not Secure

Please do not send detailed personal health information through our contact form, by email, or by text message. These methods are not encrypted and cannot be guaranteed secure. Share only what is needed to arrange an initial conversation. Once you are a client, we will provide secure channels for clinical communication.

If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, do not use this website to seek help. Call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), call 911, or go to your nearest emergency room. This practice does not provide crisis or emergency services and does not monitor messages around the clock.

5. Scheduling

Appointment scheduling is handled through Google Calendar’s booking pages. The information you enter when booking — your name, email, and any details you add — is collected within our Google Workspace environment, which is covered by a Business Associate Agreement with Google. We receive that booking information in order to confirm and prepare for your appointment.

Please keep booking notes brief and non-clinical. As with our contact form, a booking page is not a secure channel for health information.

6. Telehealth and In-Person Services

Telehealth sessions are conducted using a HIPAA-compliant videoconferencing platform under a business associate agreement. Sessions are not recorded. Whether your services are delivered in person or via telehealth, the confidentiality protections described in our Notice of Privacy Practices apply equally.

7. Payment Information

We do not collect or store payment card numbers or bank account details through this website. Payments are processed through third-party services, each of which handles your financial information under its own terms and privacy policy. We retain only the records necessary for billing, accounting, and tax purposes.

8. When We May Disclose Information

We may disclose information collected through this website when we are legally required or permitted to do so — for example, in response to a valid court order or subpoena, to comply with licensing board obligations, or where disclosure is required by law to prevent serious harm. We may also share information with service providers who help operate our website and practice, and who are obligated to protect it.

Disclosure of client health information is governed by our Notice of Privacy Practices and applicable state and federal law, not by this policy.

9. How Long We Keep Information

Website inquiries from people who do not become clients are retained only as long as needed to respond, and are then deleted. Client records are retained for the period required by Indiana law and applicable professional standards, as described in our Notice of Privacy Practices.

10. How We Protect Information

Our website uses SSL encryption, and we limit access to inquiry information to those who need it to respond to you. No method of transmitting information over the internet is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security — which is why we ask you not to send sensitive health details through the website.

11. Children’s Privacy

This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 through this website. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, please contact us and we will delete it. Where clinical services are provided to a minor client, consent and record access are handled under Indiana law and addressed directly with the parent or guardian.

12. Links to Other Websites

Our website may link to other organizations, such as crisis resources or professional associations. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those websites, and we encourage you to review their policies.

13. Your Choices

You may contact us at any time to ask what information we hold about you, request that we correct or delete information you submitted through the website, or ask to be removed from an interest list. You can opt out of any non-clinical email from us using the unsubscribe link or by replying to ask. Requests concerning your clinical record are handled under the process described in our Notice of Privacy Practices.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as our practice and services change. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent version. Substantive changes will be posted here.
